Just wondering if anyone has ever had an orthodontic emergency while at WDW and what they have done.....DD has braces and while she is careful about what she eats I am wondering what to do if she would break a wire or lose a bracket?? She is seeing her orthodontist tomorrow and I will ask him if he has any contacts in the Orlando area but thought someone may have some info.

When my son got his braces we were given a laminated card with info on what to do in case a bracket broke or a wire broke or other things occured. Based on what is listed on that card, I pack wax and small erasers, etc. Generally, they will tell you a week will not do too much damage...good luck

my son has had his on for almost 4.5 years,3 more visits but he has only had 1 time we had to cut the wire and put wax on it .. :yay:

I asked my son's doctor (orthodonitic) (sp) before we left if he could suggest a doctor in case we needed to go. He got out a phone book of names and helped us pick out a couple and then printed the names and numbers out for us. We had to call one of ther doctors once and he was just wonderful. He fit us in and then didn't even charge us. We told him how our doctor helped us. We did this with peditrictions (sp) as well. :teeth:
