Ornaments

The larger gift shops (Emporium, Mousegear, etc) will have some selection. The Olde Christmas Shoppe (if I got the name right) Liberty Square in MK and the Christmas Store in DS have the largest selection, and you can get ornaments personalized there.

Depends on the type of ornament. There's a large collection in the Christmas shop in Liberty Square in MK. There's also a Christmas shop at Disney Springs, down in the section with all the Disney themed stores. I'm a fan of the glass blown ornaments in the Germany pavilion at Epcot.

I forgot to mention Germany! I love the glass ornaments there, and there's a whole room full of them. If you're going to be there around Christmastime, a glassblower is set up in a kiosk near Germany, and you can watch the ornaments being created. He has even been known to take requests for specific colors. Also, in China, there are some ornaments, of sorts, in the jewelry area on a wall.

I’ve gotten glass ornaments in Germany, silver metal ornaments in Norway, and various Disney ornaments at the larger stores on Main Street and in Epcot.

My last trip was in December 2017. I was a little bummed that ALL the ornaments I found had the year 2018 on them. Why??? Collecting ornaments from trips is something we do, but we couldn't find a single 2017 one. I assume that's the norm as that was my first Christmas trip, but makes little sense to me.

That has always bugged me, too. Why would someone who goes to WDW in 2017 want an ornament, or anything, dated 2018? I guess I understand why they run out of things dated the current year in December, since they would stop stocking them at a certain time and wouldn't order more. But I never saw the point in selling items dated the next year. As an aside, in the big Christmas shops in MK and DS, you could get an ornament personalized with the year or whatever else you wanted.

Yes! They have really unique sets. I got a really wonderful Snow White/ Seven Dwarfs set (more Germanic less Disney like).

Otherwise, I recommend the shop in Disney Springs.

I always buy an ornament at whatever resort we stay at. They really help remember each trip!

Thanks all! We don't have time in our schedule to get to Disney Springs, so that's why I asked for locations in the parks. Looks like It's a Wonderful Shop and Ye Old Christmas Shop are the 2 winners!

Ok . . . wait!! I just looked at the Hollywood Studios park map and It's a Wonderful Shop is not listed. So does it not exist any more? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

HS = Hollywood Studios, right? I checked all the shop names, and it looks like It's A Wonderful Shop is the one.
Yes....I couldn't remember the name of it but knew it was themed towards the movie IAWL. I got my ornament last year there.

It should still be there, it's still listed on the website. It's on Grand Avenue, back near the exit of MuppetVision.

The shop in DS is pretty small, I'd say Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in MK would be your best bet.

Yes, if you walk straight out the Muppet exit, you'll walk right into it, just to the left of Mama Melrose. It is a tiny shop - more than five people makes it crowded. And they really don't have anything that the bigger Christmas stores don't have. But if you're in the vicinity, it's worth checking out .

I always buy an ornament when we go on vacation. One year we went to WDW just after Thanksgiving and I couldn't find one with the current year. I discovered that you can order personalized ornaments from the Photopass website/app. I like these even better and so now I do it every trip after I get home. You can put a photo on one side and pick from several options for the other side (I always pick one with the year). The cost is similar to ornaments that you get in the park. You can use a Photopass picture or one that you took yourself.
