Orlando Vista (Pineapple hotel)

A couple of us posted on the Reviews board asking if anyone had stayed ehre recently. Didn't get any replies so thought I'd post here. This hotel used to be nice when it was in the Hilton family. I've stayed there several times but that was a few years ago. I am wondering how it is now. Anyone stayed recently?

I looked at the reviews on tripadvisor.com and most of them were very good.

And fyi, I found the place on 1800hotels.com for $40 a night!

I stayed here last year for a few days. I did have a couple of things I didn't like.


1. The maid came in while we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.
2. The manager (I think it was) stopped us while we were getting into an elevator, to ask us our room number, it seemed like she didn't believe we were staying there for some reason?


Other than these couple of reasons, the hotel was good. The staff at the door were very friendly, and always asking us if we were off to anywhere nice.

I liked the location too. The buses weren't great, I seem to remember there was hardly any at all going to the parks, and we found ourselves walking to Downtown Disney a lot of the time. The walk was quite far but doable. It was in a great location to walk to Crossroads, where we ate quite a lot.

The room was nice, no complaints there. I would stay there again.

Thanks for the info. It used to be a really nice place to stay and I remember the maids and all the people at the desk were very friendly and nice. The beds were very comfortable, too. Loved those beds! I just wondered if it had changed any.
