Has anybody visited the Orlando Science center, if so whats it like??, were thinking of taking DS, but we still have the thought fresh in our memorys that it might be like wonderworks, looks good from the outside but absolute pants once you get in. Anybody have any experiences of this.

cheers Jules

Went to the Orlando Science Centre 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ideal for the younger members of the family as the Science is well explained. The facility also has an observatory and an excellent IMAX Cinema. Well worth a visit and certainly better than Wonderworks!!!

Hi have you got a web site address for the science centre how far is it from international drive?

The web site is www.osc.org. The Science Centre is in Orlando proper, that is up the I4 northbound. This is some awy from I-Drive. Full directions are on the Website.

Ian. I guess it all boils down to what you like, disney it isnt!!!.
It looks really good from the outside, but is very dated and in a run down condition, there wasnt anything that held our attention or DS's, just the typical things that you would find on a really cheap back street attraction, some people might say that im wrong, but for the entrance fee they charge, it is rather dismal, save your money and go somewhere else.

Thanks Jules I live 40 mins from Morecambe and 60 mins from Blackpool so I know exactly what you mean!!! Wonderworks is scrubbed OFF the sheet!!,Cheers IAN

I was looking forward to Wonderworks too.
I'll still give it a try anyway. I like that sort of thing and I've read that it doesn't take up more than a couple of hours.

alexandra, you can easily get round it in half an hour its that dismal!, but then as i said before its a matter of tatste, if you happen to live near a fairground attraction, or if youve been to southend, yarmouth, blackpool etc you will have an idea of what i mean LOL.

Jules, thanks for bringin this up. I think the kids will enjoy it if we can fit it in. Would be nice to see the real Orlando too.

Alan, thanks for the website link.
