On Fox news just moments ago, (Sat. am) the mayor of Orlando just stated that all Disney and Universal parks are open all day, except for Animal Kingdom. Just thought I'd pass on a little pixie dust to all of you !!!

That's awesome news - there was also a window that pops up on the disneyworld.com site w/ info regarding today's schedule. I was happy to see things were back "on" Hope all the animals and "habitats" are ok

I don't know the mayors name, but the "govna" of Florida is Jeb, brother of Dubya!!!! Looks like the coast got most of the damage, but I guess Walt knew that the inland location for the World would be safer!

Central Florida was hit hard by Charlie. There are many areas around the parks that have no power and won't for up to a week. Many offsite hotels don't have power either.

My house is 12 miles from WDW and I am sitting in a hotel because of the lack of phone and electric. I also had damage to my house like many others did.

The last time a hurricane came through Central Florida was in the 60's.

I hope your damage wasn't too severe, but at least you are ok. Do you know if any of the resorts got very much damage?

Shouldn't that be the Orlando mayor? If I remember correctly, each state only has only governor and ours is brother of George W Bush!

When did Orlando get a govenor? We have enough problems with the one we do have in Tallahassee.........the govenor or Florida ......Jeb Bush
