We are considering visiting the other Orlando area attractions this year since we have done only Disney the last couple of trips (on site Disney hotel, Disney dining plan, memory maker, etc). Is the Orlando Flex ticket a good option for Universal Orldando/Islands of Adventure? It seems way cheaper than Disney tickets or tickets on Universal's site so it seems almost too good to be true.

The Flex ticket seems like a good value on the surface (at $375 for 6 parks - 2016 rate). You can visit the 6 attractions as many times as you like within 14 days.
Hitting all the attractions more than once gives great value, if you are visiting each only once or don't want to visit all attractions then you would be better of purchasing separately (see below)

This is how the individual attractions break down:
If your plan is to spend 2 - 3 days (park to park) at USO/IOA this would be a $194/$204 per adult, with Wet 'n Wild waterpark $222-$232.
Busch Gardens and Seaworld 1 day tickets are $89 each but a combo ticket is offered by Seaworld at $109 (add Aquatica waterpark for $10 = $119)

So is it unlimited admission for 14 days? So if I go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on the same day am I using two admission tickets? I'm trying to find the best option to visit both Universal Parks, Sea World, and Aquatica. We might try Wet n Wild if its included but just trying to figure out it I am better off getting two separate vacation packages (one at SeaWorld partner hotel, one Universal onsite) or if we can get tickets individually and come out ahead.

When I priced it last year, I came out equal/better by purchasing separate (and annual passes for both).....this figures parking into the equation (free with APs). BUT, we were only interested in Universal/IOA and Sea World.

Something to keep in mind -- on Black Friday Sea World is having it's Blue Friday sale and they will be offering Buy One Get One Free Annual Passes for $156 ($192 with Aquatica).

As far as Universal, I believe their APs have gone up since I purchased last year, so you'll have to price it out and decide. What I did was purchase one premium AP for me, to give us free parking, and the more basic AP for the kids (has blackout dates but we weren't planning on going during those times anyway).

The main difference with the Flex ticket is that you can visit any of the included attractions, as many times as you like (even park hop) within the 14 days from first use.
Whereas if you purchase a 2 or 3 day Universal P to P ticket, you can park hop between the 2 universal parks for 2 or 3 days (doesn't have to be consecutive days).
DW and I usually purchase annual Powerpasses since we have been visiting Florida 2 or 3 times per year over the last 5 years or so. On our last trip in Sept of this year, our son (26YO) joined us and purchased a 2 day P to P pass but decided to upgrade to a Powerpass which only cost him $21 at Guest Services at USO .
We have never splurged for the Preferred annual pass since it is $100 more but does include free parking which could be a benefit if you plan to visit 5 or more times in a year (parking is aprox $20/day). Note: only one of the annual passes needs to be the Preferred Pass to get the free parking

Seaworld/Busch Gardens/Aquatica also has combined ticket pricing to save you money (see my other post in this thread). These can be booked directly on the Seaworld website. Annual passes are also available.
