I am not totally sure where to put this question, I thought about the restaurants section, but since this is not about a Disney Restaurant, I wasn't sure if it belonged there...

Anywho, I recently moved to the Orlando area, Lake Buena Vista to be exact, and I am looking for a really tasty Mexican restaurant to eat at. I tried Chevy's, and I was not very fond of it. I would love some advice as to where to go.

Also, are there any other hidden gem restaurants that I need to try now that I am here.

Thank You!

We have an Orlando Area Attractions Board where this probably belongs so I will move it there.

Most of our Podcast Crew are in Orlando and they know their restaurants so you may want to ask on that board and see if the locals can recommend anything.

ETA: I am going to edit your title too so that hopefully it will generate more interest.

Unfortunately, you have struck a raw nerve. There really aren't a lot of good Mexican restaurants here. There are a few, however, that have good reviews by a man named Scott Joseph, former restaurant critic of the Orlando Sentinel for approximately 20 years. In Scott's blog, he mentions several that may be worth checking out: http://www.scottjosephorlando.com/restaurant-listings?catid=23 See what you think.

Cantina Laredo off Sand Lake Road (Via Delaggio Way). Really good Mexican fare, but a bit higher end restaurant than most. Still pretty reasonable prices. The Guac is prepared at your table, yum!

We really enjoyed Seasons 52, also on W. Sand Lake. It's local and low cal fare, artfully presented. Love the bite sized deserts.

I forget the name, but on 535, next to the Steak & Shake. You're a local so I assume that's directions enough, lol.
