I have a friend joining me on a Disney trip this weekend, and they realized they don't have a decent bathing suit for this year yet. since the weather up here in PA is still hovering around freezing, there aren't a lot of options available yet up here for a last minute purchase.

We were thinking she could get one once we hit Florida, but I recall that there are quite a few places that can be somewhat...expensive, in the area.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good place to point them too where they could try and find a decent bathing suit in tourist area and not have to give up their first born in the process?

I'm pretty familiar with finding my way around down there, but i don't believe she's ever been down there.... or at least, not anytime recently. I'd kind of prefer someplace I can easily give them directions to so they can swing by once arriving before we meet up, but if needed I could always help them find the place.

I'd say hit the super walmart...... its like 2 miles outside of the Disney gates and super easy to get to... they have a great assortment of souvies too.:cool1:

Walmart or Target. I live in WA state and Walmart had their swim suits out last week.:thumbsup2

But if they prefer to wait until they get to Florida, Beall's Outlet stores have good prices on swimwear.

On the contrary I had a different experience buying a bathing suit from Florida. Well actually it was my sister, but yea she found a bathing suit for approximately 20 dollars! It was a nice black one with a tiny Micky Mouse imprint on the side. Very elegant and appropriate. We picked it up from the gift shop in our hotel. There are also some cheap souvenir shops if you look in the right side of the town. If buying beforehand doesn't work I'm sure you can find something with a reasonable price there.

We live in FL and I buy all of my swimsuits at TJMaxx. They seem to have a good selection year-round and the prices are very reasonable. There must be a TJMaxx in Orlando.
