Is there anybody out there who can give a fully-detailed description of what the Walt Disney World Snow White ride was like before it got redone in 1994?

I vaguely remember it and I always closed my eyes most of the time because I was so scared on that ride back then.

And can anyone provide links to any pictures, videos or sound files of the original WDW Snow White ride...if there are any out there?

I'd greatly appreciate the help.

The best I can recall the main things that were ADDED to the Snow White ride were more sparklies (like the jewels), brighter paint and Snow White herself. In the original ride YOU were supposed to be Snow White so you never saw her.

My memory may not be completely accurate but that's what I remember.

Anyone else??

MouseClubMom - I think you're right. I've been going since 1973 and I don't remember anything drastically changed.princess:

It was just a spruce up and not a ful blown re-do.

No major changes? I have to disagree. I think putting Snow White into the ride was a very major change in itself. That's pretty much redoing the entire idea. But as far as specific scenes go, the one thing I really miss is the first appearance of the queen, opening her curtains in her tower above you as you entered the ride. Spooky! It seems they've taken out a couple of her pop-out appearances. She used to be completely relentless, and there really were no sweet parts to the ride. There was a very spooky scene where the dwarfs were positioned on a staircase in their house, whispering that she was in there. They were taken off the stairs, the house was made into a cheery place (except where Snow White is being offered an apple--the fact that her figure is totally still is more frightening than her not being in the ride), and the same dwarf figures are now balanced on a mountain later in the ride, if I'm remembering correctly. But my absolute favorite change, which cracks me up every time, is that now right after the witch is dropping a boulder (diamond?) on you, you enter a room with "AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER" scrolled across the wall. Quite a jump! Unless they mean it in that Mr.-Toad-Goes-To-Hell kind of happily ever after. ;)
