I'm new to the Disboards and was curious if there was a chart out there showing the cost each villa started at. I wanted to see the trend compairing each resort. I currently own at BC and after a few short days on this site are looking to add on. It must be contagious . Any suggestions where to buy next? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen a chart on here before. If you do a search or ask on the DVC forum, you should get your answer.

Thanks for your info on the track records of the Disney villas I found it to be very informative . I can see how people would get hooked on this sight with the members being so helpful. Any suggestions other than the BC which I belong to do you recommend to look into for a future purchase? Thanks again for your help.

keeping in mind that if you add-on to a different resort, you cannot use BCV pts to book there until the 7 month window (and vice-versa), here is a quick reference comparison of the DVC resorts:

AKV

pros:
newer, has animals on the savanna, jiko, boma, uber-theming, huge christmas tree for the holidays, expires in 2057

cons:
isolated, only offers bus service to parks

BWV/BCV

pros:
walk to epcot and studios, activities at the boardwalk, BCV has SAB

cons:
expires in 2042, BWV has a clown slide (;) )

VWL

pros:
boat to MK, artist point, fun theming, huge christmas tree for the holidays

cons:
expires in 2042

OKW

pros:
boat to DTD, high value = low dues/low pts per night/cheaper resales, larger rooms, quiet, 2 queen beds in studios, parking in front of your villa

cons:
kinda isolated, too little theming for some

other: OKW expires in 2042, unless it has been extended (as in all direct purchases) to expire in 2057

SSR

pros:
newer, boat to DTD, parking in front of your villa, expires in 2054

cons:
kinda isolated, too little theming for some, DTD folks "sharing" your buses

HHI/VB

pros:
near a beach! can trade into wdw if rooms are available at 7 months, much cheaper resale prices

cons:
not in wdw, much higher dues, risk of hurricanes, small risk of being spun-out of DVC, expire in 2042
