Hi,
We're leaving for our first trip to WDW in 3 weeks!!! WOOHOO!
One of the things I've read while lurking on these boards for the past year is to bring glow in the dark/ light up toys for Illuminations.
I was going to order them from Oriental Trading, but of course if I spend $49, it's free shipping.
So - any other ideas of things that would be fun/ useful to order from OTC for our trip. Oh - our group consists of 4 adults and 3 kids, ages 2, 5, and 9.
Thanks!

I usually get my glow sticks from the Dollar Store, but you can get them at OTC, too. You could get the kids some foam visors and let them decorate them before the trip. That might be fun!

I get my glow sticks from the dollar store too. The only time I ordered from OTC was for my Disney Cruise where we exchanged gifts among DIS members. Most of the items come in quantities of 12. Target in their dollar section has been having a lot of Disney themed stuff lately too. Also if you are going with OTC search the web for coupons. I remember getting $20.00 off my $49.00 order.

There are large lots on ebay sometimes. I've stopped buying the dollar store ones, every package had at least one dud in them. Sometimes I would get an entire pack that didn't work.

If you know what you want I would be happy to go to the Dollar Tree and ship to you. They have awesome necklaces, bracelets, and wands with a star on the end!

I think if you have a Michael's craft store near you, that would be way cheaper. They have glow bracelets in tubes of 15 for $1. You can also find lots of do it yourself items there...shirts, visors, hats, sandals, etc. To us, Oriental Trading seems like a good deal sometimes, but in the end it comes out way cheaper when we go here.

If you don't want to overspend on trip related items, you can take advantage of the opportunity to order birthday party favours, stocking stuffers, craft kits, even Christmas ornaments that you family can use at other times during the year.

Thanks for the tips. I think the Dollar Store and/or Michaels is probably a much better idea. We have both of those close to where I live.
Much better idea!

You can also buy the glowsticks/necklaces/rings/earrings at Walmart.

with two kids in school, it might be a good idea to order any favors you might need for valentines day. That is coming up around the corner. Cards and candies can cost a pretty penny if you're not careful.

but target does have some stuff in it's dollar spot. It's always at the front of the store... Non grocery entrance for super targets.
