Oreo's - are they different?

I have heard people say that the Oreo's we can buy over here are different to those sold in the U.S. but I have managed to put this to the test this weekend with some delicious American "Double Stuf" Oreos.

Do you think that Oreo's taste different in America??

Karen I have never tried the ones in the UK so can't compare But I love the Mint Oreo's...just finished a small packet yummmmmmy

I think the US ones taste slightly different but are nicer, plus there is more varieties.

I'm not a huge fan - but I think the American ones do taste better.

Do you have the same rules for the proper way to eat an Oreo that we do Stateside?

First, you twist the cookie apart. Then you eat the creamy center. Then you dip each half of the cookie in your milk before you eat it.

By the time you're done, your milk is chocolatey and you've dribbled oreo-milk down your chin!

I must get me some of those

I didn't know there were rules for eating them, they seemed to fit in my mouth in one go so that's how they're eaten

Trouble is with my method they don't seem to last long

What are we saying ... everything over there is better.... well apart from chocolate !!! LOL

In saying that, where do you guys get oreos over here? I have never seen them over here except in Heathrow.

You can get them in Selfridge's and Harvey Nichols (!) but Tesco's sell them too from time to time

I haven't particularly noticed recently but as far as I remember our local Sainsbury's stocks standard Oreo's.

They're not as nice as the Double Stuff ones though
