I'm curious, who else (aside from myself) orders from the kids menu when eating at counter service places at DLR? I do it not to save money but because I can't/choose not to eat as much as is served on the "adults" menu, plus i love getting apple sices with my nuggets :goodvibes:

I've never had a problem with this (I mean can you prove that my DH isn't sitting at a table waiting with my child?) but I'm just curious who else does this?

I DO!!!! Only at CS though. I do it because I'm a VERY picky eater and can usually only eat the food off of the kids menu.

I am going to this time. I know i cant eat the amount in the full basket and were gona be shareing alot to. Tho i do have to say golden horse shoe an stage cafe thing have food that I will eat any day so if i cant find soemthing i will go there. Hay what can i say im a meats and tators girl and fries are my fav lol

tho i dont like the pb&j's or mac and chesse. the pbjs we havent tried yet but ive heard there all those uncrustbules and thats not the pbj id like. and the mac and chess at ariels was grose so i dont know if its all made that way.

I didn't at DL this time, but in sometimes I do if it is some sort of take out place. At sit down places you have to be a certain age. I've ordered more than a few Happy Meals as an adult. ;) This past trip DH and I split meals. We didn't want to go on rides feeling stuffed.

My boys, were they were little, always wanted to eat of the adult menu. They didn't eat tons, but they didn't like what the kid's menu offered. They much preferred salmon to PB&J! :confused3

I did kids meals at CS. Nobody batted an eye. I will even do it at sit downs, though I have not tried it at DLR. No one has said no yet. The only thing they will not give me is the free drink. (non-alcoholic) That I have to pay for. I don't mind.

I've done it. Not a problem, the only place I won't do it is at Ariel's Grotto and that's because they would charge me for an adult meal anyway. If I'm paying for it I'm eating it. lol

I eat the kids meals all the time and I don't go with kids! I have never been questioned once. I say go for it! Sometimes the adult portions are just way too much!

Absolutely. Our faves are the penne pasta at Plaza Inn and the bean/cheese burrito at Rancho del Zocalo and Cocina Cucamonga. OK those are the only ones we've ever gotten b/c we're vegetarian and nothing else suits us. :)

It's really the perfect portion for me.

Last trip, we got DS the kid's penne meal and hubby and I shared the adult platter of penne with marinara and a side salad. Ultimately, hubby and I should each have gotten a kid's meal, along with the shared salad, b/c it would have been a more normal portion of pasta for each (we were stuffing ourselves to finish the shared adult portion), the same amount of breadstick (platter comes with one full breadstick, kid's meals come with half breadstick each), apples and carrots, AND a small water each! Much better deal, it would have been, for us.

And we can't beat those cute Mickey head plates to take home. :upsidedow

For soda drinkers, it's not a big deal to just ask them for the soda instead. You have to ask them for the kid's size cup, and of course I always make sure they give me the fun straw as well.

I do! Or DH and I split an adult meal. It's cheaper, and I can never finish an adult meal on my own. Plus we always snack our way through DL (churros, Dole Whip, etc) so it saves room for all our favorites!
