We are planning to go without a dining plan. We have children over 9 who would be happier ordering from the children's menus. Does the restaurant staff at the full service restaurants strictly enforce the age limits on ordering from the children's menu if you are not on a dining plan (i.e.: letting them order off the kids menu and charging the kids' menu price)?

Anyone can order from the kids menu. My wife used to order the child's 4oz filet at the Concourse Steakhouse with no problem. And we were charged the child's meal price.

I am interested to know the answer to this too. We never do DDp and I have 2 big kids (10 yrs and 12 yrs) that are picky eaters and would prob really like kids selections better (even if I had to order 3 kids orders for them to get full).

As long as it's a place that sells kids meals a la carte, you're fine. They are strict at places that are all you care to eat family style or buffets. They will enforce the adult price for those meals, even if the kids eat the kids meal choices.

So when you're at a restaurant ordering off a menu, go for it.
