Ordering Mousekeeping

New DVC member and staying at the BCV in a 2 bdrm. How and when do you order mousekeeping if you want it on the days they don't clean?

First of all, I'm not sure why you would want or need to pay for additional cleaning. The villas are like your own home, and come with all the cleaning tools and products necessary to do do any touch up from your kitchen duties and laundry duties etc.

Frankly, we prefer to not have housekeeping in at all. Trash and towel day they aren't in there very long, so that doesn't bother me, but I hate having to worry about if I'm out of the room when they come to clean.

If you are staying 7 nights, you will have trash and towel on the 4th day (counting check in as day one). If you are staying more than 7 nights, you will get a full cleaning on day 4 with a full change of bed linens and towels. If you stay 9 nights, you will have Trash and Towel on day 8.

In 14 years of membership, I've only requested an extra cleaning once, and that was when we had a change of guests mid-week.

I just like to be left alone so I can enjoy my vacation home without intruders. I don't change the beds more than once a week at home, so no need to change them more often than that on vacation. I also make my bed as soon as I get out of it at home, and I do the same on vacation. I hang my towel and use it for a couple of days, so that is covered too. The only thing I sometimes wish is that they would supply additional kitchen towels, as I seem to always get my kitchen towels dirty too quickly.

If you want to pay for additional cleaning, you can arrange that at the check in or call housekeeping from the room.

I've only done it once at VGC. I told the front desk what I want done and then once I got in the room I called housekeeping to confirm that they do indeed have the order.

Pretty sure you just call the front desk or housekeeping extension and make your request...

Make sure you know what the price is before your order it. For a 2 bedroom, it's not cheap. I believe it's around $60 a visit (someone can chime in as I've seen the price list so I know its out there).

I agree, I don't think you need it, unless you get housekeeping services at home several times a week and that is what you're use to. When I bought in I thought I would miss not getting daily housekeeping, but I didn't and could care less if they come in at all. We always take our trash to the trash areas when we need to and we make our beds daily.

Additional Full Cleaning Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $30.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $45.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $60.00 per day requested
Three-Bedroom - $75.00 per day requested

Additional Trash & Towel Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $15.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $20.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $25.00 per day requested
Three-Bedroom - $35.00 per day requested

Another vote for no extra mousekeeping. We usually do laundry often enough to wash towels including the kitchen ones that we really don't care if they do any mousekeeping while there for a week. We take the trash out as needed on the way to our chosen activity of the day so even that isn't an issue. I would rather put the money towards a tour or meal.
