If I want to order gift baskets to be in our rooms upon delivery, how far out can I do this? Is one month too much? Thank you!

I don't think one month is too far in advance. It gives them enough time to make sure you're taken care of.

For a definite answer, you'll need to contact them directly, but I don't think it will be an issue.

If you didn't have it, there web site is www.disneyflorist.com.

HI there...

A month is good! What time are you checking in? Sometimes your room is ready but the baskets have not been delivered yet.

Sometimes the baskets are there - but have not been placed in the room yet - I just don't want you to be disappointed if they are not there when you first walk in your room - sometimes they are delivered later in the evening after you have checked in.

Pretty much anymore they never place the baskets in the rooms until you get there and are in the room. I can't remember the last time I got to the room and my flowers or basket were there--it's probably been three or more years now. (About the time they stopped delivering park purchases to teh room.)

Also, I've used the WDW Florist and the Perfect Gift, and the quality and prices at The Perfect Gift are FAR superior. Shirley can be reached at http://www.theperfectgift.cc/

I believe Shirley is also a sponsor of these boards :)

Sorry to go off on aslight tangent here, but when did they stop delivering your purchases back to your resort rooms? Is this true of all resorts, do they offer a 'charged' service that replaces this great assistance that they useot give you?

Just wondering......

They will still deliver to your resort, but not to your room. Now you have to go to the designated shop at your resort and pick up your purchases.

Hi Anne...

Last summer at AKL - Noel's welcome gift was waiting in the room when we arrived. (12:20pm)

Also things we bought at the park we delivered to our room all week.

So I guess muy question is - have things changed since then or is it different for concierge?

Thanx

Concierge has it's privileges ;)

We ordered the family treat bag and two Mickey baskets filled with goodies for the kids.

We stayed at the CR - 9th floor - view of the Castle and the roof of the convention center. IE - we were not Concierge - or paying the higher rate for the Bay side of the building.

But magic did happen - we opened the door to our room - mind you it was about 2pm - and the WDW Florist items were on the table to our delight.

Also - we celebrated out 18 wedding anniversary at WDW.
Flowers were sent to us by our kids (Mom paid). I guess the
CR read the card. The flowers were in our room, again on
the table, when we came back from the Park. CR also gave us
a certificate for our anniversary. Magic struck us twice.

As for paying. I wanted to keep our credit card as clean
as possible. One Month before our trip, I called the WDW Florist and ordered my items. They totaled it for me. I sent a check the
next day to the WDW Florist to pre-pay for our order.
I called 2 weeks later to make sure they received the check
and our order was set.

If you are a Disney Club Member - you can get 10% off your
order. I am not sure about the Disney Visa Card.

PS - ask about the coffee mugs with Donald sitting at his computer with his mouse wire twisted around him.
They are very nice and sturdy. We got them for our
anniversary - yes we drink coffee/tea - not champange :)
My DH says it's our best souvenier - go figure ;) mugs from
the florist. But they are very study and not cutesie.

I asked for a total an

Holy cow! Maybe it's just me, but aren't the gift basket prices a little steep? $60 for 6 bottles of bud, a pack of chips, pretzels and some dips????

I can see how the Mickey gift packs could add up with the autograph books and pens, but $40 for a few bits of fruit and some cheese and crackers......looks like concierge was a good investment after all;)

OK, you can all kick me over to the budget board now........:jester:
