Ordering food using MDE app?

We leave for our trip next week and I recently saw that you can skip lines by ordering food using the MyDisney Experience app. When ordering food in the app, can you use your magic band or Disney gift cards to pay? I recently bought a lot of discounted Disney gift cards to pay our balance and hoping to still utilize the convenient feature of ordering ahead!

Unfortunately, no. The mobile ordering app requires either a credit card or the dining plan for payment. It will not charge your room or allow gift cards.
