Ordering Disneyband+ early?

Is there anywhere to order Disneyband+ well in advance of a cruise? We're cruising in June 2024 and some members of our group would like cruise-themed bands, but we'd also like to be able to use them earlier in 2024 at Disneyland/Disney World. On ShopDisney, I only see MagicBand+ bands/themes, which we'll do if we need to (and just use those on the cruise). But if it's an option to get cruise specific bands ahead of time, I'd be curious to hear how.

You can't order them through the cruise reservation until 45 days prior to your departure date and there is no way around that limitation. The DCL designs are exclusive to pre-cruise orders through your cruise reservation.

You can buy MagicBand+/Disneyband+ on ShopDisney but as mentioned above you won't have access to cruise exclusive bands.

And once you buy bands through Disney/DCL (not ShopDisney), you cannot go back and purchase additional bands. Meaning if 2 people out of a group of 4 decide purchase bands and the other 2 don't, you can't go back at a later time and buy 2 more for those people. It's a one and done.

You can try ebay. I bought mine there. it was brand new, sealed in the box. Worked perfectly linking to my account without issue

They’re only 2 DCL themed mb+ right now. There may be more options in the future. You also don’t get any discount on them unlike the magic band + that you can preorder for WDW hotel stays

Technically, there's 3 (though one is exclusive to the Wish).

Technically, there is a discount on the DCL exclusive designs. If available retail, they would be $10 more than through the cruise reservation.

I am a sucker for "exclusive/limited" stuff. How much are the DCL ones? I assume these will be compatible at both parks, right?

$34.99. Yes, the DisneyBand+ can be used at both DLR & WDW. DCL actually uses the WDW system for ordering the bands, so they are already connected to MDE for use at WDW. Any PLUS band (DisneyBand+/MagicBand+) can be manually added to the DLR app.

No clue. I only know that's what I paid. I checked the website yesterday and couldn't find any mention of a discount for the DCL ones if you preordered them (not saying it didn't exist, just saying I couldn't find it to compare, etc.).

Which bands did you order? I ordered the Captain Mickey & Captain Minnie ones back in late July and they were $34.99 each.

I ordered the grey DCL one.

(All cruisers are connected et. but the website sends me in a loop when I try to purchase) Can you buy the DCL exclusive bands onboard (Wish)? I am just going to get Magic bands from shop Disney for now since some of us already have them.

I had the same issue. Spent an hour on the phone with DCL, they told me it had something to do with my mom's email address in Disney+ (multiple accounts), and that I'd have to call Disney+ to fix that first then call DCL back. But, magically, one day I checked on a whim and it worked again, so I ordered mine through the website.

Yes, they should have the DCL ones onboard (no guarantee, as it's reliant on stock, but they do advertise you can get them onboard). They just won't have your names engraved on them.

Can confirm. We are still more than 100 days from our sail date and I was able to order ours. I got the 100 years one and it was $22 I believe.

Currently several bands are discounted if you order through your reservation page. They are $22 and $27. Great price! So if you are booked and were planning to order a Disneyband+ band, maybe now is the time to take advantage of that.
