Ordering bride/groom strawberries

I can't believe its been two years already, but I want to order the bride/groom strawberries for our anniversary.

We are having dinner at CG (where we had our reception), and want to know how I go about ordering these?

I already called wdw dine and they were very little help. They said to "ask the chef when we get there". Yeah right...this is something you need to order ahead of time.

Any ideas??

Call the Cake Hotline and follow the prompts for CA Grill. Although it's called the "cake" hotline, it's for ordering any kind of special dessert.

Alternatively, you can call Private Dining at the resort where you're staying and see if they have them. The offerings change all the time, but they usually have some kind of chocolate goodies they can deliver to your room.

Lori, it varies by resort. There doesn't seem to be any uniformity, unfortunately.

You used to be able to get chocolate-covered strawberries at Wilderness Lodge; last time I called, all they had was a cookie plate. If I call next month, it could be back to strawberries.

Last time I called, Yacht & Beach Club didn't have strawberries, but they offered a chocolate "suitcase" filled with truffles. It seems to be whatever the pastry chefs at each resort come up with.... So you just kinda have to call and see what they have.

oh!! ok...I thought the strawberries were decorated with little bride and groom chocolate..you know like the bride ones were dipped in White Chocolate and the Groom ones were dipped in Dark Chocolate (or milk) or something....

Do you mind me asking how much Disney charges for their bride and groom berries?

About $30-35 for half-dozen. There is a chocolate mickey or minnie statue that comes with it...but since we asked for 3 groom/3 brides, don't know how it will come.

Well, just wanted to post the resulting pics. We didn't get the mickey statue...but we're still super happy about the results. Thanks again for the info...it really made the dinner special.

Also, for anyone else looking for chocolate-covered strawberries, I just discovered that you can buy them at the candy shop on Main Street in the MK!

They're not as cute as Amy's strawberries, though...
