Who has ordered either of these. I would love to have a anniversary layer, but it is just two of us. What is the smallest size you can order, and still have the fillings and customized design?

I also thought about ordering a mini wedding cake. I called the cake hotline about it, and they said they only offer the castle cake. They told me to call Linda. I left linda a message. She called me back, and left a message to call the cake hotline. :headache:

Help please.

I haven't done this yet, but I was thinking about ordering a small cake from the Boardwalk Bakery (the only one you can pick one up at). I also read on the cake board that they have an anniversary cake as well....hum...I also know that the cake thread shows major inconsistency even more than DFTW. I will let you know what I find out. Keep me up to date from your end too !

Here is the mini wedding cake we had for our anniversary at the Yachtsman Steakhouse for our anniversary a couple years ago.

This was great for the two of us (still too much cake, but not like a 'regular' size cake).

I keep seeing this mini-cake with the castle on it......I love it and am going to call to see if I can get this at CG for our anniversary. I may not be a WDW bride or VR but dammit I love that cake! lol

WOW that looks adorable (and yummy!) How did you go about ordering it? I am interested in this topic as well... DH will never see it coming. :)

I told my TA that I was looking for a 'mini' wedding cake for our anniversary dinner. They made this for us at the YM and we had that instead of our desert with the dining plan, so I didn't even have to pay for it. (this was in August 2006).

I know this thread is old, but it's worth a shot to try calling one of the numbers on the first page to see if they can help you:

We're going to Disney in August and I plan on ordering a cake with the same flavors as our wedding cake. I *think* it has to be a 10" cake (minimum) for custom flavors and stuff.

I'm not sure about the mini-cakes, but I'm sure if you called the resort/restaurant where you want to have them they would be able to tell you.

Hope that helps!

I just called and ordered two replicas. It's my second time doing so, they are delivering it to our ADR at Narcoosee's.

I had a private dinner arranged through the GF and had two mini cakes made (DH & I each loved different flavors, so this was the best compromise) They tasted fantastic

and it was a dead on replica, from the color to the scrollwork
Here's the original

StitchBride, what flavors did you get? I mean, could you use custom flavors for the mini cakes, or just choc and vanilla? And how much were they?

Thanks!

I don't remember how much they were. DH had a chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and I had almond cake with amaretto mousse.

Did you go through GF private dining? Or the bakery?

I'm sorry for pestering you, but this is exactly what I want to do!

I don't know which to do now.

I want to know who you ordered it thru too. thnx

Since we had a whole event planned for dinner, I'm not sure who to direct you to. I know there is Linda in Private Dining at the Grand Floridian but I don't have her contact info but I'm sure you can call them and see what she can do.
