Ordering a lunch item at dinner?

I'm leaving for my next trip to WDW in 9 days! :woohoo:

I love every single ADR I've made:
Kona Cafe - dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern - lunch
Ohana - dinner
California Grill - dinner
Le Cellier - lunch
Chefs de France - dinner

My question is, has anyone ever been able to order an item from the lunch menu for dinner?

At Kona, my favorite item is the Polynesian Plate Lunch - Fried Terriyaki Steak. It is very different from the Terriyaki steak they serve at dinner. I won't be crushed if they don't allow it but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask right? Has anyone ever been able to do this? :confused3

Well we have never had much luck doing that, the reason they give us is lunch items are not prepped for dinner and dinner items are not prepped for lunch.

Maybe you will have better luck than us!

It never hurts to ask. Last time we were at Rose & Crown, the chef came around to see how our dinner was. We told her everything was good, but my husband said he wished they still had shepherd's pie on the dinner menu. The chef told my husband that next time he should ask the waiter to check because sometimes they still have some.

I don't know about Kona, but we have ordered a burger for dinner at Sci-Fi before, when it was normally only on the lunch menu. It wasn't a problem, even when we asked to split it. They even cut it in half for us and served it on 2 separate plates with our own fries. That waiter got a nice tip that night! :thumbsup2
