I know this has been asked before but I can't find the thread. Does anyone know how I would order a birthday cake to be left in our room one of the nights we will be there. I want it to be a surprise so I don't want to ask about it at check in.

We are staying at POR May 25th - June 1.

I'm not sure if all the resorts do this, but I called the restaurant at Old Key West and for 35.00 we had a Mickey Mouse shaped cake (absolutely adorable), balloons and some other party items left in the room of some friends of ours. You may want to try to call the restaurant at POR, the front desk should be able to connect you, and see if they have something like this. Maybe some one else has some additional info for you.

We ordered one from Port Orleans French Quarter, and it was ok. Just a standard birthday cake. But they had gotten everything messed up, so we didn't get what we ordered... we had to take what they had. (The lost the order).

We phoned room service at the WL for a birthday cake for my mom (ok she's in her fifties) but we thought it would be a nice touch.
It was left in our room for that evening (as we requested) with a set of crockery, napkins, cutlery and even a candle and WL matches. We could hardly finish it, but it was yummy!

I'm sure it didn't cost much (comparitively) either; certainly less than $25.

We are having a birthday on our next trip when my youngest turns 11. We have decided to order a cake from Wal-Mart, pick it up, sneak back and decorate the room for when we return later that day. We even bought the table cover, napkins, etc. We are going to theme it to Atlantis, Wal-Mart even has a dec. cake to match. I am hoping the one down there does also. Good luck!
and Happy Birthday!!! =0)

I ordered a cake last month at the BWI for my wife's birthday. It was $30 through room service. They gave us a decorated cake, balloons, a resort mug, and decorated the the table area of the room with confetti, party hats, and noise makers. It was definitely worth it!

we ordered a cake from the bakery at BW last trip. It was not that expensive (less than $30) and was very good. We stayed at BW and just picked it up. I dont know if they would deliver it to PO, but you can always ask.

Actually, when you figure in that they included a resort mug, which costs $10 itself, the $30 is reasonable for what they give you. And they take care of setting it up for you, which is important if you want it to be a surprise...

Has anyone ordered a cake to be delivered to an All Stars room/ We'll be staying at the All Star Movies duirng my daughters 3rd birthday...cake & balloons at the room would be fun!

thanks!
