Orbitz Tickets CAN be linked to MDE

Just to give everyone the heads up...... the will call number from orbitz should be right on the "Attractions and Services confirmation" email they send you after you purchase them....I got the email the same day I paid for them...so I don't think you even need to email them or call... possibly this is something new I'm not sure... I bought them on feb 18th
 
I bought my tickets on February 23, and there was a will-call number, but MDE did not accept it. I emailed them and they gave me a different number with a different letter/number format, and it worked with MDE.

So there is a will-call number on the email, but I believe it's just the locator number for your tickets, and not the actual ticket number that you need to link the tickets.

Is the linking only available if you have Magic Bands or can anyone link them to MDE and make FastPass + selections?

This was my same experience. My magic code that I used to link the tickets is nowhere on the voucher. I bought tickets Feb 18.

I think anyone can link them but for now you won't be able to make fastpass selections unless you have a resort reservation or annual pass. There have been reports that some off site guests are being asked to test now, so it may only be a matter of time before it is available to everyone.
 
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that but just wanted to make sure.

The people that are staying offsite that have been chosen to be a part of Fp+ do have a dining reservation linked MDE that's how Disney knows when you will be there.
 
I kept trying the Will Call number in my confirmation from Orbitz as well, but MDE didn't take that number. I emailed Orbitz and they shot over a more Disney looking number and I added it on 2 days ago.
 
I have linked our Orbitz tickets to MDE. We are staying 2 nights onsite and our bands ship next week! What I am confused on is if I still have to go to a ticket booth to get our tickets or if I am all set, since they are linked to our magic bands. Does anyone know?

As long as you have magic bands and your tickets are linked to your MDE account then you do not need to go to guest services. You are all set!
 
So If I book a room through Disney, I get my tickets attached using the magic code.... at this point can I add the memory maker and dining plan packages?
 
I just called Disney and they canceled my current resort reservation, and added a resort only package with Dining Plan and Memory Maker! YAHOO on my way to Disney.
 
I was just told by Orbitz that you have to wait 5 days until you receive your magic code via email.
