Hi all! This is my first time booking Disney through Orbitz. We booked two rooms separately (took advantage of Orbucks and paid with two credit cards). After two calls to Orbitz and an Orbitz calling Disney twice, we were able to get all the kids added to the two reservations (:cool1:).

I need help with step two - We need to put in a request for adjoining rooms. The rep at Orbitz said we should call Disney directly but yesterday when I called Disney to try and add the kids names without detouring through Orbitz I was told they couldn't bring up the reservation because it was booked through a third party.

I've read comments on other threads where people successfully made room requests/added names to reservations they obtained through Orbitz. How do I do this or what am I doing wrong?

Many Thanks in Advance and Happy 2015!

You're not doing anything wrong. Resort CMs should be directing you back to Orbitz. The ones that don't will, unfortunately, be reprimanded since that isn't their protocol. You could request to speak to the wholesale department, but since their answers will more than likely be the same since you don't own reservation.

Orbitz should have no problem calling Disney and getting the requests added.

I think I just commented on this subject on a different thread, so bear with me if I'm repeating;). When I booked through Orbitz, I called Orbitz to add my 2 kids. The agent put me on hold to call Disney. When the agent came back on the line, she gave me a new long confirmation number that I believe began with a "4" (looked just like a regular confirmation number I get when I book directly with Disney). That is the number I used when I called Disney to make room requests. I believe it's a number Disney assigned to my reservation when Orbitz contacted them to add my kids. Just a guess, but it makes sense since I was able to use that number several times with various requests I made directly with Disney.
