Orbitz 8.45% from ebates

I never used ebates before but received and email on 8.45% cash back on orbitz. Now I know you can buy disney world tickets from orbitz and wondering if this would apply? I guess my question is the 8.4% for specific purchases? Thanks!

If you go to ebates it breaks it down by category. Looks like the 8.45% is for cruises.

Tickets are considered "Activities," and wouldn't qualify for the "Hotels" rebate amount. But, unless you have some special, targetted offer, the 8.45% is just for cruises, while hotels and activities are at 3.9%

I agree, only shows cruises for me too.

Orbitz is offering an extra 60 Orbucks for Disney hotel reservations. Topcashback is at 7.5% cash back.

I think what you saw was the 48 Hour sale code in the first box below the description. Below that box it says "Plus up to 8.45% cash back" It's the "up to" that gets you! The terms are specifically laid out at the top. I use Orbitz all the time and they follow the terms exactly.

I haven't used ebates. I was considering it. Right below the 3.X% rebate for hotels there was an icon which said 2X bonus next 24 hours. I don't know if that showed up because I was tagged as a new member.

Am I missing something, looks like Orbitz makes you prepay, even on a reservation which can be canceled. Does Orbitz have any extra fees to book or to cancel?
