What are your opinions of Orbit One, Westgate Vacation Villas and Oak Plantation (a sunvest resort). I need to choose between the 3 for the trip I am buying on SkyAuction and they all seem to have their good points. I stayed at Westgate years ago in the older single story condo's and it was ok...we also stayed at Orange Lake so I was comparing.

Thanks in advance for any info!

First of all let me say I don't know anything about Westgate or Oak Plantation. But I did get a week at Orbit One over Christmas for my stepdaugher. She ended up not using it, so dh and I drove over just to check it out for future reference. All in All the resort was much better than I expected. Everyone there was very friendly. The unit was very large and well maintained. All of them sleep 6, King bed, 2 twins and a sleeper sofa. I remember that it even smelled clean and there was no mold in the bathrooms. The kitchen, living room and dining area is really one large rectangle with tile floors. ( a big room!) with a full size washer and dryer in one closet. There are 2 pools, they are currently remodeling the main pool, not sure of the completion date, But it looks like it will be very nice when complete. You also can use the Liki Tiki water park pool at thier resort too, This may cost, and requires a car. would be a fun perk. Another plus of Orbit One is the quick access to the back way into the Animal Kingdom.

Orbit One one gets good reviews on the boards.

I have only stayed at one of the three you asked about, Orbit One. It was very nice, and was our kids favourite place out of all the three different timeshare condos we have rented over the years. It was nicely decorated, very clean and spacious. They really enjoyed the pool area. I would stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice but that is because I need to have internet available to keep in contact with clients, and using the internet in the lobby/lounge area was expensive. We would be looking for something that at the very least has either free internet, or internet available in room for a blanket fee (10.00 for 24 hours, or something like that).

Silver Lake is almost always available on skyauction. If we use skyauction next time (we usually do, but are looking at a Windsor Hills condo this time, because of the internet issue) I would take Silver Lake as it is a bigger resort with a convenience store and snack bar/bar on property.

I posted a review of my stay at Orbit One on the review board at the top of this one. You will have to scroll a bit to find it, but it's there.

I have stayed at Westgate, Orbit one, Silver Lake but not Oak Plantation but have toured Oak. I would not stay at Oak because of location and security. In a older residential section of town of Kissimmee and property somewhat run down although they are trying to spruce it up. Of the others you can't go wrong. I would probably go with Westgate simply because of the activities are much greater. As I say the I was pleased with Orbit and Silver lake and would not hesitate to go back to them.

We are down here now and I have not been able to locate Orbit one while we are out and about. Found Siver lake easily. We have a 7 day to use in the future and wanted to take a look. Can anyone give me directions from Emerald Island. tIA Grammy

It's right at the corner of Entry Point Road and 192. Entry point road is the back way to the Animal Kindgom, and the back side of SilverLake Resort.

Orbit one is right behind the service station at Entry Pointe Road and#192 I think it is a 7-11 Gulf station but may have changed. Orbit is hidden from 192 by this.
