Orbit One no longer using SkyAuction?

I booked a few weeks with the getawayweeks and the special SkyAuction was running for $199/week.

A month ago there were several 2 bedrooms available and now it is only studios! And there were always Orbit One rooms available!

I am worried as I was hoping to use these for actual condos.

Does Orbit One no longer use this? Anyone know?

Ok, I put in different dates.....Orbit One charges an additional $50 on top of the $199 I already paid.....they didn't do that last time!

FWIW, Orbit One is no longer a bottom-feeder in RCI. I'm finding that my mediocre trader often doesn't see it, when my tiger can, several different times during the year.

Apparently, news of their recent refurbishment has gotten around---they were upgraded from Hospitality to Silver Crown, and evidently exchange demand has picked up as well.

Remember: most of the inventory in SkyAuction in Orlando is coming from RCI, not the resorts themselves.

Dawn, This is just what we found when we bought two more cert. recently. I will appreciate our stay that we got for the $199! Maybe if bookings get slow they will change back. Brian, What do you think? Grammy

Only the magic 8-ball knows for sure, but I think this has less to do with Orlando's overall tourism and more to do with Oribt One's recent upgrades. A year or two ago, Orbit One was a much easier exchange than it has been over the past several months. Now, it takes a better-than-mediocre deposit to see it.

That tells me that either supply has gone down, or demand has gone up. With the renovations, I'm guessing it's a bit of both. More owners are using their time rather than depositing, and more exchangers are requesting it because of its good reputation.

As posted earlier, we will sure enjoy our October stay. Thanks for your opinion. Maybe the extra $50 is worth it for Orbit One. So many of them are upwards several hundred dollars on the upgrade list. Grammy

I guess what is bothering me is that once I purchased it I thought the price was locked in.

SkyAuction is typically $295 plus bid price so this isn't much of a savings and I purchased 5 of them.

Two of my friends were going to go with me and I already told them that it would be $200 because that was what I paid.

I had NO IDEA they could just change it whenever.
