Orange Lakes - West Village - RCI

We were very lucky today to trade into orange lakes west villages for next month. When checking in will we definately be put in west villages or another area?

Is there a certain section in west village that is closest to pool area?

We stayed in a one story villa right on the golf course that had been recently rennovated in Feb. It was beautiful but a long walk (or short drive) to the pool. I think the rooms in the main check in building is considered the West Village and that would be the closest to the pool. I don't think I would like being in a large building vs a stand alone villa. I think there were some golf villas across from the main building that would be fairly close to the pool. I would definately request a rennovated room since they are beautiful.

Often we just drive to whichever pool area we choose that day. There are 3 large areas and a few small secluded pools. Each area has its own strengths and weaknesses. There is also a resort shuttle that circles around during the day. Family members have used this also.

We stayed for two weeks, one in a golf villa in West Village and one in a villa in the North Village. My kids liked the North Village pool so we just drove down to it while staying in the West Village. Not sure how many of the villas in the West Village are close to the pool since it's closer to the main bldg.
