We are going next week (YEAH) and I have never stayed at The Orange Lake Country Club before. In fact this will be our first time using our timeshare so I really ahve no idea what to expect. I am mostly wondering about pool towels, if there is laundry soap, dish soap, and bath saop and shampoo? If so, how much is there and also if anyone knows where (and the name of) the closest grocery store. Any iformation provided will be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!!!

Hi NHBelle,
I am an OLCC Timeshare owner, too. If you have never been there before I think you will fall in love with it.
After you check in and go to your villa,townhouse,etc.. there will be a care package there for you with everything from paper towels to dishwashing detergent and extra garbage bags. Generally I end up going to the supermarket on that first day and buy milk, snacks, soda breakfast items and a few staples. In the past we always drove to Fla from NY so if I brought back my half used bottle of detergent and soda's it never seemed a big deal.
This year we are flying and I will stick with the small bottle of detergent(not always the best value) and bring dryer sheets from home(easier to transport-and weightless!)
There is a grocery inside the clubhouse-downstairs from where you check-in. I don;t remember if they close 9pm or 10pm,but you can ask when you check in.
Personally I fell in love with the Publix shopping center next door to the resort. It is a full service supermarket with sales items and a wide selection of anything you would find at home.
If you are coming from I-4 to I-192 towards OL it is the right turn just before the resort.
There is also a Walgreens directly across the entrance to the resort that is open 24hrs.
Bring (or buy) your own shampoo-I believe they provide extra soap bars for each bathroom but they are standard hotel size.
Plenty of towels in each of the bathrooms and of course you can wash and dry so you never run out.(love that feature)
The pool towels you get and return at the various pool sites-nice and uncomplicated!
Have a great experience at OLCC.

We haven't stayed at OLCC but the description above is consistent with other Gold Crown & 5 Star resorts. Virtually none of them provide shampoo.

Hotel bars of soap, liquid dish soap, a couple packets of dishwasher powder, single-use box of Tide, sponge/washrag, paper towels, facial & bath tissues, hair blowdryer, adequate bath & pool towels, starter pack of coffee and filter(s) are all normally provided.

We bring personal toiletries, tablets of detergent, dryer sheets, usually a ziploc of d/w powder, our favorite coffee/teas/filters, salt & pepper, onion & garlic powders, cooking spray, ziploc bags, foil. If we're able, we bring along pantry foods as well. We purchase perishables after we arrive. HTH!

NH Belle...

We are going to be at OLCC next week also. Which area are you in since you are owners? We got our week off skyauction.com and I need to request an area and can't decide.

Have a great time.

Lisa
