We will be staying in a 2br Wilderness lodge villa. There are nine of us and the youngest is not yet three. My four year old son will be sharing the fold out couch bed with grandpa. Grandpa snores and twitches at night. Can anyone offer any other suggestions? We have not stayed at Wilderness Lodge before and we are not sure how everything is arranged.

Thanks, I had considered that. My husband is worried about the extra room that would take up with luggage but I do want my boy to be comfortable.I am looking at all possibilites.

Once you unpack the suitcases into the drawers etc, there is plenty of room to store them in the closets and under the beds etc. The living room will have plenty of room for the air bed.

You can mail it down to yourself or buy one and have it shipped directly to the reosrt- either of those methods take care of getting it there. Of course you will need sheets for it as well.

The 2 bedrooms are enormous so if you do bring the air mattress there is a nic space in the second bedroom between the bathroom and the beds where it can fit. You could probably get an extra fold out bed too.

If you can get an atrium room they are configured so that you could probably put a single aerobed in the corner going into the 2nd bedroom. Just a thought.:goodvibes

What about a nap pillow. (Like a sleeping bag. We bring one on the plane every trip. Works as a pillow, and rolls out into a pillow with a "sleeping - baggish" item. at 4 they should be fine right on the floor, or even put that on top of the sofa cushins.

We had 8 in a 2 bdrm at OKW in Feb. Kids plus grandma and grandpa. We mailed a cheap air matress down. We didn't want anyone in the living room so people could stay up late or get up early. Grandma, grandpa and my 2 of my boys were in one room. In the master, we had the air mattress with one of our other sons, and our youngest who was 4 at the time slept in the king bed with DH and myself. It worked well for us, although I was happy when my in-laws left the day before us and all the kids slept in the other bedroom.:goodvibesThere is plenty of room for an air mattress, so I would just send one down.

That sounds like an interesting idea. Do you know where I can get one? We may just end up using the sofa cushions that someone else mentioned. Thanks for all the suggestions.

When we were at VWL last November, I believe that the cushions folded down in the sofa when you put it out to the bed, and thus stayed attached. At least that is how it was in the studio. Make sure you get the correct info on that for a 2BR prior to your planning to use them;)

Thanks for that info. I did not even think of that possiblity. I would love to hear from someone who stayed in a 2BR, to know if it is the same or different.

You can't use the sofa cushions to sleep on at VWL - they stay attached to the sofa. We have stayed in a studio and a 1 bedroom at VWL, and the cushions were attached in both.

Thanks that was what my husband was leaning to but it helps greatly to know that is not an option.

We bought these beds on Amazon that were great. They were in a bag and rolled out into a sleeping bag and had a blowup mattress in between.

Disney Princess EZ Bed Sleeping Bag

We bought a Thomas one and two princess ones really cheap but they don't look as cheap anymore. My kids loved them and they were easy to take with us.

A "snorer" could ruin the trip especially if you are subjecting a 3-year old to sleeping with that person, I would use a air mattress, but put the 3-year in one of the bedrooms with you or in the other bedroom and allow grandpa to have his own sleeping area. Subjecting the 3-year old to the snoring could mean no sleep, which equals a grumpy 3-year old. But this is just my option. :rotfl:

A child sharing with snoring Grandpa sounds like no one will get much sleep.

Have an air mattress shipped to the resort, so the child can sleep in your room. Bring sheets and blanket. Or a sleeping bag.
