Options for transportion?

I'm trying to figure out what the best transportation option is for two people flying into Orlando-Sanford airport (on a Thursday evening) going to RPR. I don't think the hotel offers free shuttle service to that airport and it looks like to book a shuttle through the airport for less than $100, it has to be a party of at least 4. The airport is about 40 miles (1 hour) away, so I'm not sure if a cab is a good option. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

A rental car may be your best and cheapest option, you could always return the car somewhere locally the next day. A taxi would probably cost you close to $100 with tip.
I assume RPR is the Lowes Royal Pacific Resort.

Rent a car. There are Hertz locations at all three Universal resorts that will accept a drop off from airport rental. Rate will be about $46 for a full size and $60 after taxes and fees. You can do a search for discount codes that can lower this significantly.

The vast majority of car services are going to charge you close to $200 r/t from Sanford to the popular resorts.
The drive is pretty easy and straightforward. I do know that RPR (a terrific resort btw!!!) charges for parking...so you might want to drop everyone off and then return the car.
