Hey All!

We've never been to DLRP before and also dont know anyone else thats been (strange, I know!) so was wondering what options we have of getting there once we arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport?

Thanks :flower3:

Hmmm i would like to know too, i know you can hire a taxi and also i think get a high speed train. I spoke to my ex partner last night with a view to taking the kids and she seems to think that disney lay on a free shuttle bus from the airports to the parks. If someone in the know could confirm i would appreciate it.

there is lots of information in this thread about travelling between CDG and DLP -

we all have our favourite method of transfer, it really depends on what time your plane is scheduled to land/how many in your party/ages of kids/amount of luggage you have which would be best for you :).

there is a Disney shuttle (the VEA) - but its not free. Between CDG and DLP its 18 euros per adult, 13 euros per child, each way.

For smaller groups and groups with no small kids (and definately no buggies) I would go with the TGV. Its so fast (10mins max) and was very handy. You get the terminal interconnecting light rail in CDG (CDGval) to Terminal 2 (thats presuming your not already in Terminal 2!) and hop on the TGV when your platform is posted up on thr board about 15 mins before its due in.We paid €90 return for 2 adults (bearing in mind the trip from CDG to DLP was about €70 as it was peak times) It drops you off in Marne La Vallee Chessy which is at the entrance to the parks. It is a short walk thru Disney Village to DLH, HNY, SL and NBP and there are free shuttle buses right outside to SF and the Cheyenne.

For groups of 4 or less and those keeping an eye on budget I would go with VEA. It seems so convient and with train schedules could get you there at the same time as the relevant TGV!

For groups of 4 or more and without doubt the most fool proof I would get a shared shuttle. With RS Transports it cost €95 return CDG to Sequoia Lodge. The driver meets you in arrivals with your name on a board and drops you straight to your hotel. Very handy if travelling with buggies. Ive used RS transports before and for the price are excellent, professional and very dependable. This generally works out cheapest for smaller groups.

You can also get the train but Im unsure of this as Ive never used it.

Useful info sticky gives all the details and links

Hope that helps you choose what suits you best.

Thanks for that info kizzabel, we will have 2 under 5s and a buggy with us. Will investigate the RS Transports option

Id bring a buggy each smartie.
Its very hard on theyre legs as you'll do miles of walking without realising.
DD went twice last year aged 4 and would have been in trouble without the buggy. We're going to wing it in November as she'll be turning 6 and we'll have ds's buggy so they can swap for rests.

Happy planning

That's what we're hoping to do. DD will be just under 5 when we go and will hopefully be so excited about being there that she wont notice how far she's walking!

Im going next month and we booked the TGV. It was about a ten minute trip from CDG. Not sure if thats the best way (cost, time, convenience, etc.) but it is definitely the fastest.

Now I wouldn't recommend this but it shows theres haggling to be done...
We were waitingfor the VEA at the bus stop outside terminal 3 when I man came over with a laminated DLP sign saying he already had one family to take and would he like to take us too. (In hindsight this was the stupidest decision I ever made but it all worked out fine!) Anyway so off we get into the back of what turned out to be an un-licensed taxi with a dad and his little boy!
Long story short was that we got there but I was watching the road signs religiously the whole way making sure we were heading to Marne-le-Vallee. Plus he charged us less that the VEA would have been and got us there in half the time!

DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! But it might be worth asking what a LICENSED taxi would charge when you get to the airport as they might agree to a set price?
