We are staying at the Grand Californian in March. My mom likes just plain, black coffee. Is there a reusuable cup you can buy at Whitewater Snacks?

No. You have to pay for a daily coffee. Theree are also Keurigs in the rooms, so you can buy some k cups of your preferred brand at home and pack them in your suitcase to have. The coffee they provide isn't the best, and with no daily housekeeping, you'll never get the coffee replenished.

Correct, you can buy coffee from quick service or go to the starbucks in downtown disney, but be prepared to wait 20+ min.

Be prepared to wait 20 minutes for Starbucks, or from quick service at the hotel as well?

Both. WWS gets very busy in the mornings.

They used to serve coffee at the Hearthstone Lounge pre pandemic, but not sure what the current status is of that.

Coffee is also available at La Brea Bakery Express in the mornings. But they don't open until 8.

Just left GCH. No coffee at the Hearthstone lounge in the morning. Your only option (on premises) seems to be the Grill that is just past the spa and the pool. Exit GCH like you're heading to DCA.

Brewed coffee is self-serve. Espresso based drinks are made at the counter (machine).

Man oh man. When will the service return to normal?

Not until they HAVE to. lol

I just make coffee in the room, saves so much time and you wont have to run around the resort.

We just use the Keurig - and then send my husband ahead to go wait in line at SBUX (we sure miss mobile order) before heading out for rope drop. FWIW mousekeeping was great about bringing us extra Keurig's for our room inbetween room service days. I'm no fan of the Keurig but it gets me started in the am.

When we were there pre-pandemic (summer 2019), there was free coffee in the morning. Just had to show your room key. I think it was maybe at White Water Snacks, which I think is now Craftsman Grill?

Yeah, that went away.

When was at the Grand in November, housekeeping was generous with the coffee

I thought housekeeping was great--they brought me what I needed including lots of extra Keurigs and robes on request. It isn't quite the same, but if you ask, I found them to be helpful and gracious.

I brought my preferred k-cups and used the machine in the room. As others have said, housekeeping was very responsive to our requests and kept the coffee supplies stocked for us. If you get a later start, the lines for coffee at quick service and Starbucks weren't bad, but they were awful before rope drop.

Wow. No extra magic hour, and now they can't even spring for a free coffee? Cheap bastards.
I agree yet guests keep booking rooms. The cutbacks will ramp up more and more every time someone assumes it's a luxury property.

Sadly 'post reopening' guests are only paying for the location as there's many off site properties for less than $200 a night including breakfast and much larger rooms/suites. For example Homewood Suites Convention Center (next to Toy Story parking lot) has free coffee 24 hours a day, basic breakfast in lobby 630-930am, full kitchens in rooms- just got back from a stay there and was great.

/end rant :) ...I sure hope Disney adds services back to their on site hotels.

Anyone know if the VGC studios have to-go coffee cups? Want to be sure to add to my grocery order if not!
