Options for 5?

Hello all...we are searching for an option for 5 in one room. Either moderate or deluxe. So far, I can only find bedding for 5 in the Beach Club, BWI and GF. Does this sound right? If we went with a moderate, do they have single beds that can be set up for rent? I recall they used to, but not sure anymore.

You can have 5 in a Boulder Ridge studio and Poly studio, and possibly more of the DVC studios will sleep 5. You can find them on the Disney booking site, but only at 11 months out. For moderates, there are some 5th sleepers at CBR and POR. Also, family suites at ASM or AoA. Moderates cannot put a rollaway in a room. I don't think they can in a deluxe, either.

Have you gone to the WDW resort reservations page and put in a party of 5? I know CBR and POR have rooms for 5, and I think there are others.

Port Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach Resort both have 5th sleepers (although I'm not sure how big those beds are).
I know the polynesian sleeps 5.

How big is your person who would be sleeping alone? POR and CBR do have fold down "bunk" beds but I wouldn't be putting a full grown person on one.

Agree with plugging your dates into the system with 5 and see what comes up. I don't think Disney does rollaway, you have to book the room for it's existing bedding. FW Cabins does and there are other deluxe, which if you have the budget are likely the best option.

I have tried that, and it's telling me CBR sleeps 4 adults, no mention of option for a 5th

It came up for me.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Standard View - 5th Sleeper

Water or Pool View - 5th Sleeper

Did you try direct on page? You can at least see the bedding options and maybe it is a date issue for you?

I got it now! thank you!!

I believe most of the deluxe resorts accommodate 5 people. Some CL’s such as YC/BC cap the room total at 4, but that is just for club level.

None of the regular hotel rooms at the WL will accommodate 5. Club level has some larger rooms.

The monorail resorts (CR, Poly, GF) and Epcot ones (YC/BC & BWI) should all fit 5, but thank you for adding that WL rooms are a tad smaller and only accommodate 4. I think AKL might be little smaller as well, but I’m not sure they fit 4 or 5.

Good question on AKL. I haven’t stayed there since before it became party DVC! I think you are right that the rooms are smaller.

Our personal faves for 5 people (kids ages 12/10/5) are CBR for Skyliner access and Boulder Ridge Villas. We tend to do a split stay and plan our park days around the location. We’ve enjoyed GF and Poly villas when the price has been right but those deals can be harder to find.

Years ago I booked BC CL for a party of 5. I was livid after checking in that there was not room for the 5th. They brought a rollaway and they wanted to charge us for it!! They didn't of course, and I never understood why it let us book 5 in the first place. That's the most mad I have ever been at Disney.

That’s so weird that it let you book it that way. I would’ve been annoyed too. If it let you book it, seems it was Disney’s mistake and they should not have charged you that time. I don’t remember what year they changed from 5 to 4 for YC/BC CL. Maybe it was around that timeframe and their system hadn’t caught up to the change.

In the fall 2018-2019 season Disney change the standard CL Guest restriction to 4 guests down from 5. It because easy to work out to ~$200 per room for CL service as an add-on Overhead. It did initially reduced the load at the CL Lounges rather quickly.

We had 5 adults last trip as my kids are young adults.
We did AoA Family Suite was perfect, 2 bathrooms and my husband and I got the closed room. The drop down table bed was great, super comfortable for 2 as it is big like a regular bed, and then 1 slept on the pullout sofa, which could’ve also fit 2. Lots of space. Cost less than a deluxe and on skyliner.
We then moved over to a deluxe BWI room that had 2 queens, and a pullout sofa, only 1 bath and paid a lot more money for it.
Value wise for what you get, AoA suite is great.
You can even go cheaper at All Star Music with their Family Suite which I hear is just as good.
There’s some You Tube videos of walkthroughs in resort rooms.

We've booked the Caribbean Beach 5th sleeper for our trip in a few weeks. I can come back here and let you know how we liked it.

Trying to decide where to stay for 5 - 1 adult - (1) 18 year granddaughter, (1) 14 year grandson, (1) 7 year old granddaughter and the 19 year old boyfriend. Needless to say - I need atleast 4 sleep areas if we all stay in the same room - would need a rollaway if we stay in 2 rooms (1 for us and only boyfriend in the other (he would be paying for his own room or a 1/5 of the larger room). Grandson not too fond of boyfriend, so wouldn't want to submit him to staying with him. I guess I am leaning towards fort wilderness cabins for the sleeping spaces. Could stay at the family suites but really wanted a pool slide. For those of you that have stayed in the cabins before - how much of a hassle is it to get to the main pool from the cabin or do you mostly swim at the pool close to the cabins?
