Has anyone ever bought anything from a company called Opteka? Their accessories seem to be quite reasonably priced.

I've bought their UV filter and they are horrible. First of all the filter is not as neutral as it's supposed to be, second the filter has a bit of distortion. Something that you may not see in many cases (the distortion) but you can get Sunpak with much better performance for the same price at many camera stores and/or eBay.
