Is it me, or did it seem like Oprah was "scaling down" from her other favorite things shows? There just didn't seem to be as much this year as other years. Either that or not as many expensive flashy things.

BTW - For those of you that saw the show, I live near that bakery in Geneva that sells those brownies. She wasn't lyin about how good they are. They are AWESOME!!

I agree about the auidience. I am happy for them -but I would rather see shots of the products than the audience jumping and screaming.

Most of the stuff this year was fairly attainable. Still a splurge, but I just went on line to her website and many of the things are "doable" to purchase. I think that is nice. Sometimes its way out of control.

Now, I am not talking about the various items all over $600!!!! But, there are many things under $200

but yes..it did seem scaled down compared to last year's show...she said today that the least expensive gift was $25..and the most expensive was $1600..that was a Sony Vaio Notebook computer...I was laughing that there were so many men in the audience when the models came out with women's coats, bathrobes, pocketbooks, perfume, bath stuff...etc...lots of them won't have to shop for their wive's gifts this year!

A lot of food - EXPENSIVE food. I would never pay $39 for 15 frozen criossants (sp?)
And those cords - $160 for a pair of pants I guess I'm just cheap.

I really liked the watch, espeically since you could change the bands, not to mention the 50 diamonds! The bathrobe looked really great also since you could throw it in the washer/dryer.
