Breakfast at the Crystal Palace is a must do for us each trip (and not just because Pooh and friends are my favorite characters). I don't eat breakfast unless I am on vacation. I love the puffed french toast; they make omelets to order; love the Pooh & Tigger waffles (picture below), the fresh fruit, the hash brown typed potatos, etc.
I'm a single grown up, no kids. I love Crystal Palace breakfast. Especially if I have an 8am ADR when the park opens at 9am. I love walking up Main Street when there is hardly anyone there.
The food is really, really good. However, in my opinion, the character portion is really poorly run. It is just hectic in there, without any seeming rhyme or reason about where and when the characters appear. During our December trip, we missed both Tigger and Piglet - half the characters. So, if you are going for a good breakfast, I highly recommend; if you are trying to fill an autograph book, not so much.
Awesome food and lots of it. It can get super loud and crazy there and the characters take a long time to make their rounds. The one thing that makes me nuts is the check in system....there are always a lot of people in line waiting for a table and the seaters just call out the names (they always seem to run out of buzzers)...you cannot hear them at all so most people tend to stay close to the doors and that leads to a crushing amount of people when you are trying to get in and out of the place.

Agree with you 100%! I love getting in prior to the crowds, it's great getting pictures of the castle with no one in the background. I also love Crystal Palace.
Dh and I go to breakfast at the CP at least once on every trip - children in tow or not. We think the food is good and the selection is great. Its a really nice way to start a MK park day. After visiting Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland I will have to disagree with the other posters about the character interaction being confusing. We've had breakfast at CP at least five times and we've seen each character every time. In contrast, we just got back from DLR and dinner at Goofy's we stayed for almost two hours and only saw half of the characters. My niece really wanted to see Goofy. We were seated in a side room with only two tables and Goofy walked by the opening of our room three times. When we finally told her we had to go she started to cry and not like a spoiled "I want my way" cry; a true disappointment cry. I went a spoke to the character people and Goofy came over and visited before we left. We still didn't get to see Cruella, Jasmine, or Brer Fox all of whom kept walking by. It was a mess. I'll take CP or any Disneyworld character expirience I've ever had over Goofy's
CP for breakfast is a must do for DH & I on every trip to WDW. We absolutely love it. Of course, Eeyore is my favorite character & we don't leave until he's made it to us in the rotation. Food is great and always plentiful. We went for our anniversary in September and they had a heart on our table made out of Mickey confetti. So cute!!
My wife & I LOVE the breakfast at Crystal Palace. It's the characters, the food, the location, everything! For a look at some of the food, give this a try:
And for a look at the birthday cupcake they gave my wife:
I was ill when we went in 2006 but I still enjoyed the character interaction there. My friend loved it and it was her first request for going back this year, so we've booked! Good food, good interaction and yep...great to see Main St when it is quiet.
