I need opinions on:

The Garden Grill
Rose and Crown
Nine Dragons
Les Chefs de France
San Angel Inn
Hollywood and Vine
The Wave

We want to try some new restaurants and haven't been to any of the above.

Thanks in advance!

The only one on your list I can comment on is San Angel Inn....
It was terrific! :)

We had a very romantic dinner there. Wasn't going for that but the atmosphere is very romantic and relaxing.
The food was very good, more traditional than tex mex style, so be aware of that.
We had the chicken mole and the sirloin with black beans. Both were very good, the plantains with the sirloing....oh my so delish!
The caramel sauce on the desserts was heaven.

Make sure to ride the boat ride in the restaurant, it is very cute. ;)

San Angel Inn is the best pick IMO by far, they updated their menu and added a tequila bar too. One of the best $$ restaurants by far. And the $$ means two dollar. So definitely go!

Chefs De France sounded like they had amazing food! But we go there and there was stains on all the napkins, food on the silverware, and the place wasn't the cleanest. Rose and Crown has the famous fish and chips so, Rose and Crown should be good! San Angel Inn i ate once before but i wasn't crazy about the food but that was about 3 or 4 years ago.

I hope you have a good time!

The only one I can comment on is the Garden Grill and my comment is positive, especially if you have kids! The food is served family style and is great comfort food! The kids geta "make your own cupcake" for dessert. We've been twice and are going again in Feb!

We've only tried two from your list, so I'll just comment on those:

1) Chefs de France -- we had a fantastic lunch there -- tons of food and it was all good -- and Remy was very, very cute!:)

2) Rose & Crown -- we have had wonderful dinners there. Also really enjoyed the food. Really, really good iced tea, and the service is always great!:goodvibes

In fact, we enjoyed them so much that we have ADRs at both of them for our upcoming trip!

I'll chime in on the 2 we've been to on your list:

Garden Grill- if you are going to see characters this is a great place. They really spend a lot of time with you. The food is just okay.

Chefs- we were actually disappointed in our meal here. DH had the filet which was really good, but my chicken and DS' macaroni and cheese were very dry. The service was good, but I only think I would eat here again if I was on the DDP.

We have only eaten at two of those. We love Chefs and eat there every year. We tried the Wave for the first time last year and were unimpressed although we seem to be in the minority.

Agreed! And great for kids.

I can only comment on three of them, so here goes :) :

Les Chefs de France - DH and I went here for dinner and were very disappointed. We started with the French Onion Soup, which was very good and then it went downhill from there. I had the fillet and found it on the grisly side and the potatoes had a weird seasoning in them that I didn't care for. Don't remember what DH had, but he didn't care for his, either. We're going to go back at some point and give it another shot, but it won't be for dinner - we'll try a lunch instead.

San Angel Inn - We went here for lunch and enjoyed it. :) We weren't expecting a whole lot, based on reviews we've read here, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was very nice and the food was tasty. We will definitely be back on a future trip. Not the best meal we've ever had at Disney, but nowhere near the worst. That distinction belongs to....

Hollywood and Vine - We will never be going here again. We went a couple of times and were not really happy with either experience. It was dirty inside (much worse the second time we went) and the food was not good at all. The first time we went wasn't that great, but we were willing to try it again (we wanted the Fantasmic dinner package). The second time, we both left hungry. :headache:

Hi courtneylauren,
Looks like you have some great choices. I commented below on the restaurants I have been to recently.

Rose and Crown- Very good food and service was excellent. The fish and chips is my favorite. One of my top restaurants at Epcot.

San Angel Inn-Great atmosphere and good food. I think the atmosphere wins out over the food. With that being said though I LOVE the setting and the food is excellent.

The Wave-I was just at this restaurant on Thursday. The food was fantastic and the service wonderful. The overall experience was fantastic.

Of the 3 I mentioned I would say The Wave was the best. Good luck planning and have a wonderful trip! Be sure to let us know what you pick:thumbsup2

This was our experience as well last April. I will never go back to Hollywood & Vine.

We tried Nine Dragons because it was the only ADR we could get and I was happy we did. My DH said it was the best meal he had at Epcot and second best for the trip (behind Jiko). The service was excellent, the food fresh and tasty and the restaurant was clean even with it being super busy. We were able to see IllumiNations from a window seat which was a bonus.

Good luck - have a great trip.

Chefs de France- EXCELLENT service and BEAUTIFUL restaurant. Management and server were extremely helpful. Ate here for the first time on 12/17 as part of CP package. But the food- incredibly bland. I had the filet with potatoes au gratin and green beans, DH had the roasted chicken. My filet was a great cut and nicely cooked, but had NO flavor whatsoever. Neither did the sides. DH's chicken was dry and veggies were bland. Salads and desserts (chocolate mousse cake and creme brule) were wonderful, but we were disappoined in the entrees.

Nine Dragons - horrible, the worst food I have ever had anywhere...if you click on my June link you will see why

Les Chefs de France - love lunch here but had a terrible dinner in Oct, we will not go back for dinner there

San Angel Inn - LOVE LOVE LOVE lunch here! We ate there in Nov and it was amazing!

Hollywood and Vine - terrible food, terrible service, just a huge waste of money and we left hungry

The Wave - Awesome! Been here twice, once in March and then Aug and the food, atmosphere and service was top notch!

Rose & Crown was the best meal of our last trip-I had the bangers & mash (so good) & hubby had the steak & fish (really good). We liked it so much we are eating here on the 1st night of our trip in March 2010.

Chefs de France was also very good-very pretty dining room, nicely paced meal (we had dinner), no issues w/ cleaniliness as another poster stated. Again, enjoyed this one so much that we are going back in March on our last night of our vacation.

They were our 2 favorite dinners on our last trip (& the other 4 were all at signature restaurants!) so we are looking foward to going back.

Wow... Of those we've only eaten at two. San Angel and the Wave once for breakfast. San Angel is a sentimental favorite of mine. They do a decent Mexican menu, and the prices are good for Disney, but it's the atmosphere that I love most. It's like eating in a dark ride! I haven't been there since the pavilion got the tequila bar, but that can only add to the experience.

I was thoroughly unimpressed with the Wave breakfast, and would rank it among my most disappointing meals in the World. I don't much care for their lunch and dinner menus, so I don't think going back for another meal is a high priority. I'll give it a chance, eventually.

Oh, I feel I should say that the lounge area in the Wave is a fantastic little place. It has great and knowledable bartenders and a relaxing set-up. I will highly recommend the lounge if that's your thing and you have a few minutes to spare before any reservation in the Contemporary.

San Angel Inn - w3e thought it was very good - we ate dinner here and had some drinks. We would go back.

Hollywood and Vine - had a character brft. here - food was alright - we did it so our kids could have the meet and greet with the Little Einsteins. If not for the meet and greet - we would probably not go back.

I need opinions on:

The Garden Grill - it's ok, been twice
Rose and Crown - don't like, mediocre food and slow service (we always sat out on the patio so I don't know if that made a difference), gave it three chances, great atmosphere though
Nine Dragons - just ok, typical Chinese restaurant
Les Chefs de France - one of my favorite restaurants in WDW
San Angel Inn - never been
Hollywood and Vine - never been
The Wave - never been

My opinions :)

We enjoyed H&V for breakfast! The food was really good and the character interaction was excellent! No pictures of food, but here are a couple with characters

That's the only one on your list I've been to, and my family really enjoyed it.
