Opinions - what time to make Tusker House reservation for?

I haven't done a Disney buffet in 25 years, we're taking the grandson in March. DD wants to hit the breakfast/lunch crossover. I have seen people say Tusker House runs late on seating and we really don't want to miss the breakfast food. Online says breakfast until 10:30, lunch starts at 11. So is a 10:00 reservation safe to hope to be seated by 10:15? What time do they stop serving the breakfast stuff? Thanks!

While the breakfast is good it doesn’t necessarily vary from the normal fare. However their lunch buffet is delicious and has a variety of options you won’t find elsewhere

I believe you’ll hit the crossover and the best of both worlds with a 10AM reservation. Also, when they first switch over they do leave a small amount of breakfast food out.

They have always had a section for African inspired dishes at breakfast, but they also have the usual bacon, eggs, and mickey waffles, etc.

We have done exactly with what you are referencing because my kids prefer Disney breakfast foods - Hey Simba waffles - and I love to save a little money where we can. The last time we did this we had a 10:15 reservation and there was plenty of breakfast still available. They slowly transitioned it out while they were bringing in the lunch options. I would recommend eating slowly so you don't fill up on breakfast and get time to eat all of the great lunch options.

We always do this after rope dropping AK. It's our favorite buffet at Disney. I think your grandson will love the characters in their adorable safari outfits.

My daughter and husband love breakfast, but I prefer lunch foods. We usually make a reservation for 10:30. The last time they were a little bit rushed getting their breakfast foods, but were able to do so. You should probably go for 10:00 or 10:15 to have ample time for the breakfast items.

Yup favorite buffet is the breakfast lunch combo. Best of all worlds...theming, characters, food variety, quality, etc.

This is the one we do more often than any other and it only gets better each time
