We planned a trip to Orlando in June figuring HP would be open. We got the $99 ticket deal. Now the grand opening is in the middle of our trip. We are headed back to Orlando next spring. We also have GAD tickets for WDW and thought about upgrading them. We are staying offsite.

Would you save the Universal tickets for next spring and make this a Disney trip?
OR
Fight the crowds and go to Univ and IOA? We arrive 3 days before the grand opening.

I think you should wait until next year...if you can. The lines should be shorter and everything should be working as expected. I'm planning on going over on 6/18 but then I won't be near Universal until the fall for HHN. It's going to be too busy to really enjoy yourself.
