Opinions Wanted! CBR King Bed or WL Standard?

My husband and I are planning a trip to WDW for the first week of May to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We are trying to decide where to stay. This will be the first time we have taken a vacation for just the two of us in many years, and I would like to make sure that the resort we choose will be right for us. We have stayed at AS Sports, PO Riverside and AKL standard room in the past. Liked PO Riverside the most of the three. We would like to stay somewhere new this trip, and have talked mostly about a king bed room at CBR or a standard room at WL (although he did mention last night that he thought PO French Quarter looked inviting).

So, especially for anyone who has stayed at both of these resorts - any opinions are welcome!

We have stayed at CBR several times and we always get a King bed room, it is a great room, feels spacious and we have always been located in a great location with a great view. CBR is a wonderful resort, we stay there and don't even consider it to be a "moderate", (except for the price being lower) because to us it is perfect and we have stayed in deluxes and other than location, really did not think the rooms were any better than CBR's, in fact a few of them seemed smaller! I don't think you will be disappointed if you choose CBR.

I say Wilderness Lodge!! it is much more romantic and the
"lodge" feel is really nice! they have a great hot tub and it is
so pretty at night.

there is no contest with the ambiance of the WL.

I haven't been to CBR, but I can't imagine it being more romantic than the WL. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there last year, and had a wonderful experience. If we weren't trying to stay at a different resort every year, we would have booked there again this year.

If you end up going to the WL, you must take some time to enjoy the resort. It is truly wonderful.

Whatever way you end up going, have a great time and congratulations on your anniversary.

We've been to both and I would choose WL over CBR. I would also choose POFQ over CBR. WL is so cozy plus you have the option of boat transportation and you can walk/bike to Fort Wilderness for more fun. For an anniversary trip definately WL. POFQ if you don't want to spend as much. Their boat to DTD is very nice too.
