I know, no crystal ball but...

Thinking about holiday '08... 2BR at OKW for 12/20 - 12/26 at 7 mo window... Possible or would this be one of those "snowball's chance in..."

What do you think?

I know 2bd are harder to get, but we were able to secure a 1 bd at BCV for xmas 07 without a problem.

You should be in pretty good shape . We have done the switch from BW to OKW about 7 times over Christmas week with no problems. It get busier from Christmas to NY.

I am hoping it will be a little easier than the week between Christmas & NY. Would do a 1br if that was all they had as we are only 4. Just spoiled by the extra space.

Really have no idea as to our chances since we have always avoided busy times like the plague. I've learned to never say never!

Us too...we usually go in January. For many reasons that I could go into...but for the good of all I won't...this year we are going at christmas. I'm really looking forward to seeing the resorts and parks at xmas time though. We've been enough that the crowds and lines won't bother us too much!!

That's kinda where we are too. Since we are fortunate enough to get down every few months it really is no big deal to skip stuff here & there.

Plus, we get to spend more time doing all the little things you always say you are going to do but never really do since you spent so much time in the park.

Exactly, I haven't seen Presidents or American Adventure in a long time. Plus there are so many shops to see not to mention resorts that we want to visit :-)

I would make reservations at the 11 month mark at your home resort to make sure you get the dates you want and then try your luck at the 7 month window..

That is the plan. Just didn't know if I was being a crazy woman for even thinking about switching over.

I just have to add that we went Christmas (12/17-1/8) in 2005 into January 2006. It was wonderful. Huge crowds, but as you are saying its a great way to enjoy the things you don't always take the time to do. I have been to WDW a few times since then but haven't done the Hall of Presidents since that trip! We had a ball and are thinking of a repeat in 2007. I am glad I didn't go that week for my first ever WDW trip, but in all it was nothing like I thought it would be. It was so much better! And the resorts and overall magic are worth the crowds. Heck, I want to go again just to hear that finale of Illuminations. Spending New Years Eve at Epcot was a memory I'll never forget.

I highly recommend Tour Guide Mike, he has a whole section devoted to surviving the Christmas Week rush.
