I have waitlisted 2 out of the 3 days at the beginning of my trip to VWL. Nov 25th =waitlisted Nov 26th=studio nov 27th= waitlisted. What do you think my chances are of getting either the wait lists filled or switching to the poly or boardwalk at the 7 month mark for those first 3 days ? I am new to DVC so I have no idea what my chances are of being able to book the holiday. Surprisingly I was able to book the entire week after thanksgiving at VWL! Opinions or suggestions welcomed! TIA!

For November instead of wait listing I'd book something that is available and plan on a split stay then wait list the split nights so you at least have somewhere to stay.

I did book the days nov 26th and nov28th-dec 3rd in a studio at my home resort VWL but I waitlisted Nov 25th and the 27th. I plan on switching to the poly or boardwalk if either is available at the 7 month mark and do a split stay. Yes, it will be a challenge. IMO,your best chance will be a Pool/Garden view at the BWV. Good luck!

Do you think Garden view at BWV would be easier than the Poly at the 7 month mark? Is it better to call or go online at the 7 month mark?

Do it online. And if you have enough points I would book as early as possible. Meaning when nov 21 opens, book if the week is available.

I think BWV will be easier. Lots of people will be trying for PBV. In which case you could get BLT as well.

Since F&W will be over I would guess BWV pool/garden would be your best bet. We recently bought BWV and were unable to reserve at all in Oct (during F&W) before the 7 month window opened. So as a result I was closely watching the Poly bookings-have no interest in staying at a non park resort this fall. EVERY Day the Poly has booked up for the avail studios within a couple minutes (we were able to get our week there but I am sure many have been shut out). If you want to book Poly you must try right at 8 am as it seems everyone is trying to switch to try out the new resort (prob need to do that for any near park resort since it will be a busy time). Currently BWV has avail for your dates in pool/garden view but as we are new owners not sure how booking patterns normally go for thanksgiving weekend there. Good luck!

Im very excited to see what will be available! We are trying out PVB in june and we have our home resort booked for the end of our nov/dec trip so BWV would be a nice resort to check out! I guess I'll just keep checking the availability tool to see which one is booking up quicker! Then get online at 8 am to try to snag something! other wise I'll be eating up my points with a 1 bedroom somewhere! Id rather be able to spread out my points into another trip rather than book a 1 bedroom! Thank you for the advice! Love the boards for all of the knowledge everyone has!!!
