I made my PS yesteday for our up-coming trip. Among our many favorites we are trying 2 new restaurants to us. Jinko and Bongos.

I would appreciate any experiences or opinions you have on either or both.

My dh and I went to Bongos and wouldn't return. Everything about it was mediocre at best. The food was acceptable, the atmosphere was so-so, and the service was the best part, but we were practically alone in there. To put this in perspective, we have eaten out a lot, but my dh is not hard to please when it comes to food. He never met a bacon cheeseburger he didn't like. Our sarcastic joke now is that we have to make sure, if we do nothing else, that we go to Bongos and Planet Hollywood. Both were substandard.

I haven't been to Jiko, but have read many favorable posts about it.

My wife and I dined at Jiko this past August on our honeymoon. We will likely not return. Search the archives for my review and others for a more thorough discourse.

We just dined at Jiko last Thursday while honeymooning at WDW. Jiko is a very unique restaurant, from the taste of food to the decor. If you have never been there, I would highly recommend you to check out this place. The taste of food is a bit exotic compared to the North American cusine. So be opened minded to the dishes there. Being Chinese, my DH and I are used to spices like curry and hot pepper.

We were on the Discovery Magic package, so we tired the pricy ones on the menu. For starter, we had the plater for two, which had samples of three different types of appetizer. Then for entree, my DH had shrimps and I had the mockfish. Then for desert, I had the chocolate symphony while DH had the sorbet. Those were delicious. But once again, the chef puts lot of spices in there. So if you are not used to it, be aware!

Went to Jiko on our last trip this past September and this was my favorite meal of the trip. Even though we ate at V&A's. Not everything on the menu is exotic. The Tenderloin with Mac&Cheese is out of this world, as was the Kalamata Olive Flatbread. The wines are superb.

I dined at Bongos in 1997. The atmosphere was great but the food was tasteless.
