Hello folks,

Need some opinions please.

DH and I are attending a wedding in Las Vegas in October. (yay first solo vacation without DS who is 5YO) I am torn about what to get for a gift. I know cash is always good, but I am hesitant to give them cash in Las Vegas. The temptation might just be too big. So then I was thinking either a GC to a store they are registered at, or an AMEX Gift Cheque.

So, whaddya all think???

Las Vegas is tempting...went there when I was 18! Its an awesome city. I would definatly go with the GC from where they are registered. That way they can get exactly what they need. You don't have to worry about duplicating something they have or have to much of.

I think either the gift check or GC is a great idea. Although a regular personal check would probably suffice, too. I doubt they can cash it there.

Groosch Deb....I take it that the couple aren't from Vegas...and therefore the tempation???....if so, a possible best of both worlds idea would be the GC....and maybe $10-$20 of "chips" at their hotel's casino? Jurst a thought!

GREAT IDEAS!!

GP, they are NOT from Vegas, they are from here in Mass. We are all flying out over the course of a couple of days, the wedding is on a Sunday, and we are all flying back over Mon, Tues, and Weds. It's gonna be a HOOT!

I think both would be nice. Where are they honeymooning at? I once thought of getting a GC for this really nice restaurant in Asheville,NC when a couple I knew was going there on a honeymoon, but I didn't.

I'm hooked on Giftcertificates.com. They have tons of stores that the GC can be used at. I used mine at Bombay.
