Opinions please - slideshow for reception??

Hi everyone...

What do you guys think about a slideshow of the bride/groom and maybe some guests during the reception or cocktail hour? Has anyone ever done it, and did it go over well? It could be really cute, or it could be cheesy if it's not pulled off right, I'm torn, lol. What do you guys think?

Not cheesy at all!! I think it's cute...I played my wedding video at our at home reception during dinner. Everybody loved it!

I'm doing a slideshow of my dad and I during the father/daughter dance...I love slideshows...def. not chessy at all!

I love the idea of slideshows! I am going to have a video of our ceremony at my at home reception and during the entire reception we are playing our disney wedding photos in a slideshow.

Ok, I'm sold!! Thanks! Now, I just wonder how Disney would set it up....as far as what equipment they would need, and how much they would charge to do it...I'm sure one of the guests or the dj could start it to save $. Disney can do anything, right?

I am not getting married till 2013 and i am having one at my cocktail hour. But i have 3 older brothers and my mother made a bride/groom slideshow for each of them. She started when they were babies and went till their engagement photos. She played 2 before the wedding while people were being seated and then my youngest brother we played it at the reception and it turned our beautiful, i would suggest the cocktail hour while people are waiting for you and your DH, or whatever you have planned. I am sure everything will workout beautifully!
