Ok, so since the girls will be getting their own rooms when we move in May I agreed they could have new stuff/designs. I let Remy go on the PBK website and look at their "model rooms" online and this is the one she picked. What do ya'll think? Anything you'd add or change?

Remy's is already mostly bought but I plan to spray paint the wicker baskets I bought (they are nude right now)..would you do them green like in the pic or another color? Also I am using a different style side table like below (painted the pink) and her current dresser is being painted the same pink. Also what color would you paint the walls with this theme? The model walls look pink, but that is curtains (the twisted ones at PBK).

As for Holly, well I am moving her to a twin instead of her toddler and I was leaning towards this "model room". I like the pink/green combo. Do you think it is too "old" for her? Remy picked it out, but I am open to changes as I haven't bought anything yet. I can get the curtains/duvet/sheet set for under 100.00 at PBK so it is a good price. What else would you recommend? I just do NOT want to go character and want something that will last KWIM.

are they "girly" girls?? If so go for it.. Pink is the New Black..

My dd had the exact hibiscus duvet set, except it was in the sky blue color. She grew tired of the hawaiian thing and has since been trying to go with a more bohemian look!

Back to you: I would be careful about going with too much pink. I would paint baskets orange to match the duvet set, but if if you are getting the matching sheet set then green would work too. Not sure about the wall color - I would go with something a little more neutral with all that pink.

Love the rooms!

Maybe for the first room, paint the walls a cream or light tan color, I think you would want something neutral.

I love the second room too for your younger daughter. I think just have her toys/dolls, etc will make it more "younger". And I agree about not doing characters, they grow out of those so quickly!

I had a room that hot pink color from the time I was six and we moved into our house until I was 10. It was too pink, and we switched to a bubblegum pink. Then when I was 15, we went to a lime green. I never got to choose these colors, mind you-my favorite color has always been blue.

I'd probably go with white for the wicker baskets. This way, no matter what she wants in the future, it'll go. A neutral will be good with all that vibrant color-trust me. I lived with that color for a LONG time.
