Ok so here is the deal.......... I have a campsite booked and a rv rented because i thought we would be doing this grand family trip well that has fizzled out so my problem is this ( and this is where i need opinions) The package itself is not a problem ( i love packages) its dinning!!!!! I have been spoiled by the Free dinning and we usually go the last two weeks of August ( because i cannot pull my teenagers out of school) so looking at the FD promotion this year starting in September do you think for next year I should hope for free dining or stick with the camping thing and have access to a kitchen where we can cook simple meals and then go back to the parks for fun.. Dinning is killing me ... I have a party of 5 adults (well me and 4 teenagers,:scared:) Please help me

Disclaimer: this is only my view on FD and may differ from most..

Personally when I initially plan, I plan with the DDP. I don't assume that FD will be around when I go.(mostly because I go TG week and it's a hit or miss blackout week). This year we got lucky, we can get 3 days of FD.

If I were you I wouldn't count on FD, because you'll never know when they'll say "ok no more FD"
But your situation is unique because you are camping, I'd say stick with your original plan and if it's available, and you reeeaaally want to do FD they do give you ample time to switch or upgrade.

I agree with BayouMickey. Stick with your original plan and if they offer free DDP make the switch.

Thanks all I guess I am going to stick with my camping trip its not like it wasnt on my Disney Bucket List :rotfl2:, I know FD is not offered to the campsites and i think it would be a hassle to switch I have a feeling FD will be very limited from know on but if they have FD at the holiday season i could always take a quick trip (oh Darn,:cool1:) thanks everyone . Camping Here I come
