Opinions on SSR and BCV

I am debating on AKL and BLT right now. I need about 75 points at one of them. AKL is cheaper per point, rooms have cheaper categories, and my boys would live the Savanna View, but MF's are higher. I love the location of BLT, it will be harder to book at 7 months then AKL (IMHO), and MF's are very reasonable, however not sure how much I love the decor and it is expensive points per room. BUT I would love to be on the Monorail!

Now, I have a Dec UY, so at AKL I would get '08 points, but with BLT I would get a few extra years. I am thinking BLT (I think it will sell out faster) and then maybe an AKL add on 18 months from now (if I can hold out that long :rotfl2:)

Another option is just going with 125 at one, but that would mean that I would have to scratch my 50 at VGC (I just want enough there for a 5 night stay every 2-3 years, or a couple of days before we go to Hawaii).

What to do...what to do... :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I see the OP made a decision but wanted to chime in - we own at SSR and AKV but I have to say I love each resort (that means all because we've stayed at all with the exceptions of the new two) equally, and for different reasons. For example, I waitlisted for a concierge studio 3 nights at AKV for marathon weekend,,,it came through! I booked OKW for another weekend for F&W weekend and waitlisted for Beach Club for two nights - it came through. I could go on about waitlisting successes but you can see that this is mostly how it goes for me. I think I only missed getting a waitlist once...and you know waht Staying at SSR was fabulous. For us, its about changing it up and making every vacation unique at WDW. But I still an very Bah Humbug on the whole buy where you want to stay theory. I'd buy the cheapest contract with the most years left on it. Bottom line.

Enjoy your new home!!! :goodvibes
