Opinions on Orange Lake CC

A great resort. Large but we did not see that as a problem.

Tell me a bit more about your traveling party. By the way, we are going there this fall for under $250 for the week in a 2 bedroom. Amazing price.

Give me more info and I will give you my opinion for your group.

Loved it!! Last May, we stayed in a 2BR, in one of the newer sections, towards the back. I forget the name of the section, but part of the 9-hole walking golf course was in our backyard. The place is HUGE! It's also spotlessly clean and the landscaping is gorgeous. We weren't within walking distance to any of the pools, or anything for that matter.
It's conveniently located to WDW,('bout 5-10 minute drive to most of the parks) There's a small shopping center, with a Publix supermarket about a 2 minute drive away, and there are tons of restaurants, stores, etc., all within a 5-minute drive from this resort. You may want to visit there web page, for specifics on the accomodations and their proximity to the pools, golf courses, etc. You won't be disappointed...

Super place. We own a week and just returned. People are Very friendly, the place is clean and WELL RUN. It is a great place.

We've stayed there, in the older section and really enjoyed our stay! Check-in and out was super efficient and given the opportunity I'd stay there again!

2 good golf courses is about all I know. The condo's look OK and there are plenty of them !!

hawt1,

There are six of us in my party - 4 adults and 2 girls, ages 7 & 11. We plan on going for 8 nights. Looking at 8/29 to 9/6 or possibly mid October. There seems to be so many great places to stay....I'm having a hard time deciding which place. I even thought about maybe splitting the week at two places but not sure if I really want to be bothered doing that.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Theresa

Most rentals run for 7 nights and the cost of the 8th night will kill you.

I would stick to one place if you are headed to Orlando. There is so much to do that you will want to come back in a few montsh to redo soem things and go to soem others that you found too late in your vacation.

OLCC might work for you. Their two bedrooms are a king in the master and two queens in the second bedroom with a pull out sofa in the living room.

If any of you are golfers, OLCC is the place. It also has lots of swimming pools. We were really impressed with it and very happy at the price we paid.

Let me know if I can help any more.

I've stayed there twice now, Oct '02 and Jan '03 and headed back next week. The other two times we were in two bedroooms in an the older section (west village, I think) and it is a little dated, but everything was very clean. Sometimes, though, things may not "feel" clean in a unit that's dated. That's how I felt in Jan, although I didn't feel that way in Oct. Next trip we are going to be in a 3 BR, so I think that will be a newer area. I'll report back when we return on the 24th. Hope this helps.

Is there a website that offers promotional rates on the Orange lake country club. Thanks!
